Performing Below Your Potential?
Running in a triathlon can be frustrating and disheartening if you haven't set the proper foundation. In every Ironman hundreds of athletes get off of the bike in a great position, only to see their spot fade with each passing mile. It doesn't have to be this way.
There is a Better Way
The off season is the ideal time for focused run training. Practice the drills and skills that will set the foundation for the rest of the season. Don't just swim, bike and run to stay in shape. Train movement patterns that you will build upon throughout the season. Do it right this year.
If you have ever been frustrated by lack of running speed in your Ironman races, then we have a program for you.
What My Athletes Are Saying
I PR’d a half marathon from my best time 10 years ago, I improved my Ironman by 48 minutes from 5 years ago (on a tougher course), and I was able to PR an Olympic distance Triathlon 2 weeks after my Ironman by 13 minutes. I was so very happy with my training and how it improved my performance I am still looking forward to improving and setting new PR’s.
Quite simply, Joby helped me achieve an athletic dream of mine. For 5 years I had been competing in Ironman 70.3 races off and on with the "dream" of someday qualifying for the World Championship. His coaching is the most complete, well-rounded approach I've ever seen. He combines all the aspects of what it takes to be successful in achieving your goals. "
I improved my 70.3 time by 50 minutes to a best of 5:07, improved my 13.1 run split by 20 minutes, top 3 finish in a regional 70.3, top 10 finish in an Ironman 70.3 event, qualified for the 2015 USAT National Championships, and qualified for the 2015 Ironman 70.3 World Championships"
During a full year of training with Joby, I PR’d on the 70.3 distance by 1 hour and 27 minutes, on the standalone half marathon by 31 minutes, on the sprint distance by over 10 minutes (and secured a 1st place AG), and completed my first full Ironman. The numbers alone speak volumes about the quality of Joby’s coaching
It's NOT About More Volume
Why don't those who train the most race the fastest? Quite simply, because IT DOESN"T WORK. Think about how many people you know who train a ton of hours but don't get any faster. Train movement patters. Get strong and efficient first before you add volume.
This is how I help my athletes achieve new personal bests and accomplish their training goals.
Try something different. Learn to run fast, and efficiently first. Then worry about volume later.....when it matters.
